I ordered Prestige kitchen cabinets through a local store. In August the cabinets were delivered. The cabinets would poor, the stain was smeared as if a child was fingerprinting, glue was dripped, no clear finish, and the dovetail ends were not even. The maple doors had knots and one door actually had a hole in it. The local store tried to get me to install the cabinet, finally the local representative from Prestige came to my house and told me the holes were character. I ordered clear maple-not rustic. After calling RSI the company that owned Prestige they agreed to replace the cabinets.
The next shipment was the wrong cabinets. The next shipment was taken back since the local store had not paid for the 2nd cabinets being delivered. The beginning of February the cabinets were shipped again-this time a cabinet is missing. It is now 5 months later and I still don't have my kitchen. No one at Prestige will talk to me. No apologies-nothing. Run do not order anything from this company. I pray the next cabinets will be decent-$16,000 dollars and no kitchen.

Sounds like HMMM works for Prestige. There were 3 attempts to send us new cabinets. Then they sent replacement doors that were also defective. It took from August 07 until March 08 to install my cabinets. It took several more months to get the defective replacement doors. Is this a quality company?

This is very strange... Prestige is a great company with quality products... I am bewildered by these responses... sounds like the dealers aren't keeping up to their end of the bargain or your orders were not clear when they were ordered... Prestige specializes in handcrafted artisan cabinets... good company from my experience!

I was finally able to get some action by calling the President of the parent company headquarters in California-RSI. After 5 attempts the replacements also had smiliar problems the edges were not even and still knots in the wood. There still seems to be not quality control.

I ordered $20,000 worth of these cabinets in January 2007. Finally in November 2008 I had the last of the doors installed. We have 8 sets of pantry doors in our basement. The doors were shipped with manufacturing defects and then they were damaged in shipping. Prestige did absolutely nothing to reimburse me for any of my inconvenience. In the middle of all of this, the store I bought them from discontinued their relationship with Prestige (I wonder why) and I was stuck to deal with the whole issue myself.

I understand that companies make errors. The test of a company I believe is how they handle their mistakes. Prestige continued to make mistakes and tried to ignore me and my complaints. They didn't seem to care I had no kitchen (our cabinets were destroyed in Hurricane Wilma) for 6 months.

Prestige Cabinets' plant was moved a couple of years ago and they are struggling with getting qualified help. They do care about their product. They are as frustrated as the consumers that receive damaged products. If a door or drawer front is damaged and the frame is good, go ahead and install it. Replacing doors won't hold up an install. Any dealer that has been with Prestige over the years will tell you that these kinds of mishaps are very rare and Prestige has been a good quality cabinet that stands the test of time. I have them in my own home. Keep in mind that every cabinet company, regardless of who they are, suffers quality control problems periodically.

First deliver in May of 2007. The rep came and looked at them and replacements were delivered in July of 2007. The problem is the replacements also had damage. It is not May of 2008 and the new cupboards are still not here. I have sent pictures, etc., and have now notified my local store that after July 4, 2008, I will be filing a lawsuit. I wish I had seen this info before I had ordered.

Good Luck with you not so Prestigeous Cabinets. I purchased around $50,000 of their crappy cabinets. They sent a rep out boy was that a joke! Said it would be fixed right & so on. Finally the company I purchased them thru came out & took all the doors & drawer fronts off & refinished & also repaired everyone of them. Someone needs to put them out of business because they don't care about the consumer. I hope to get it across to anyone not to purchase from them, the Kraftmaid cabinets I got are alot better than the mess you get from Prestige.
